Reputational Closure (RC) is the model in which disparate networks exchange information to enable them to operate independently and in conjunction with each other. Grexie is the first RC network of its kind. Reputationally Closed networks are needed for the future of the world.

Grexie is the first RC network and was created to transform the societies we live in into a just and equitable world.

Through the technology Grexie provides we will introduce concepts critical to the longevity of knowledge and charitable works.

Its flagship products are Caritas and Veritas, which provide non-profits, governmental organisations and societal enterprises with the organisational and financial tools they need to provide a harmonic world; and similarly the global media community and the people they serve with truth, and confidence in what they are reading as truth.

This is done in a way which is consistent with lawmakers and existing arbitrary governmental systems while allowing for the safe-keeping of charity and knowledge for the world which awaits.

The evolution of our product set is to be seen in the future. Through adoption of the flagship products we will be able to learn from society, and evolve our technology.

The future of society

How do we give people what they want? It should be given to a person whatever they want, as long as it’s lawful and just.

But what happens when people want more than they can be given right now?

We see a world where charitable organisations form the micro-governments of the future. Where they are empowered with funds from charitable donations of the wealthy, and entrust these to projects that benefit individual causes and charities that have proven benefit.

Taxation has provided for this through the social systems of many nations, however technology has evolved to a point where their role in forming the future is purely defence and law enforcement.

Those in power do not have the fullness of vision, nor the longevity of executive direction, to feed those who need the wealth the powers that be are provided with. The system simply doesn’t work for the current times, and the age we are moving towards.

To some it may seem that those with wealth may get richer with a low taxation economy, for example one that is driven by charitable donations that do not materialise from the rich. However, as can be seen, that is happening anyway in the present system. It is for the wealthy to trust that the money they provide is really going to the causes they care about. This trust network is to be provided by Grexie.

What drives a wealthy person to give away their wealth? They do no more than recognise that their wealth was not given to them through innovation alone, and indeed they want to share their experience with others who they recognise need to have the same breaks they did.

There is also selfishness in many individuals with wealth, and it is important to recognise that trust systems need a form of ‘inheritance tax’ embedded in them: that is government identification of individuals needs to be used to issue fresh reputation for all members of a jurisdiction, and in turn the reputation tokens need to be locked to a particular individual. What prevents the wealthy from getting wealthier just because they are wealthy? This is not in the scope of technology, but is the conversation ongoing between the east and the west with regards to wealth distribution. There is a solution we will one day look at for this, but the concept is out of scope of our present vision.

The age of the internet has shown a wealth of information provided by people of all walks of life, all over the world. Wikipedia is a good example of this, however its trust systems are somewhat lacking to guarantee the spread of true knowledge for 1000s of years. It is heavily centralised.

The same thing is true of governmental departments, distributing tax revenues in the way whoever is in power sees fit.

Wealth and knowledge are the fundamental products of the society we live in. They need to be distributed to those who need the most, both money, and truth.

The society of the future is driven by the desires people have for unity and peace. It is Grexie that will gather like-minded individuals to build this future.

Our Lady of the Lilies is one such charity that will benefit from this work, a charitable organization that needs to exhibit performance of its work through donations from the wealthy, and the truths it reports.

The founder of Grexie also created Our Lady of the Lilies. Both technology and charitable work are necessary to fulfil our vision.

The future of the internet

We have seen power in the evolution of the internet to where we are today. There is a trend currently towards something that is called decentralization. Specifically this is currently known as peer-to-peer technology and the distribution of data records in a star network. This design has been known since the dawn of computing to be inherently limited.

Decentralization in its present incarnation is not scalable, and is not the future.

What this technology does provide is replication of data.

In a world at war, how do we ensure jurisdictions have both the power to persist human knowledge as well as endeavour to protect it against nefarious global powers?

Who makes those decisions about which side of morality those nations fall, and whether their statements bear truth?

Reputation models based on blockchain technology allow for persistent record keeping, while evolving knowledge in a consistent fashion.

The future of the internet is hierarchical, in the same way that society today has evolved to be hierarchical. Data does need to be distributed and replicated, but it needs to be done in a scalable manner that doesn’t impede the performance of whatever functionality runs on that network.

With blockchains, there is a strong trend towards proof-of-stake systems away from proof-of-work. This is the evolution of blockchain technology away from the initial vision of Satoshi Nakamoto, showing the flaws in Bitcoin. Indeed proof-of-work is bad for not only the environment but the scalability of networks. The design is flawed.

Additionally there is a need for multiple sovereign chains to co-exist and exchange data with each other, in a reputationally-closed fashion. Reputation closure is the ability for a network to guarantee the reputation stakes of either party are consistent, in order to alleviate the concerns of either actor.

Smart contract technology in blockchains assures the data stored is consistent with previous states across the network, through proof-of-work. Similarly reputationally-closed (RC) systems ensure that one network cannot negatively affect the reputation constraints of another, while still sharing a consistent reputation score. However proof-of-stake mechanisms are an afterthought in blockchain design in order to increase scalability of the network, these are inherently unsafe.

Hierarchical networks with multiple root authorities sharing RC mechanics are the next phase of blockchain technology. By removing the peer-to-peer star network design of blockchain, the scalability of the technology is on-par with well-engineered pre-existing internet architecture while allowing for multiple network authorities and enabling new and unseen before crypto-based services.

When we talk of things of a global nature we need to keep in mind the power a jurisdiction as powerful as a world superpower can exert on their infrastructure, and their people. This is particularly true of proof-of-stake systems, of which its proponents claim improves blockchain technology. They do this knowing only to iterate on pre-existing decentralized models, and not rethink the nature of Satoshi’s work entirely. It is the case that proof-of-stake is essentially proof-of-work focused on a smaller number of nodes performing those proofs, and this can be manipulated by governments wishing to do so within their own countries.

Blockchain technology is indeed important in terms of provability of the state of the network over time, however there is really no need for decentralization when RC systems are in place. Instead RC promotes distributed networks organised in pods of infrastructure allowing scalability over micro networks of servers, effectively sharding the data instead of replicating it to each node.

This technology is the completion of the current phase of the internet revolution and connects technological innovation with the way societies need to function, and indeed the way mankind has always been.

We need to establish this in our age very soon, as we see the imminent approach of WWIII.

Grexie

Grexie will be a global hub of Caritas and Veritas instances, providing a front door and public portal, similar to Wikipedia, for charitable works.

There is something that needs to be done to guarantee that DAOs and Archives do not abuse their position, and there need to be checks and balances to ensure the wrong people don’t cause mayhem for the distributed architecture of the DAO and Archive.

Grexie provides this through a social network connecting the charitable works and offering messaging and media communications to donate, follow and encourage the work they do.

This social network will be released as open source and instances of this will be used to provide front end applications with unseen use cases based on Caritas, Veritas and the other products we will create.
